AmcoGiffen in North Wales is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead rail and civil engineering works across our regional portfolio. You will report to the Site Manager and coordinate operatives, plant and subcontractors to deliver safely, to programme and to the required quality.
This role covers weekday and possession-based work, including nights when required, with a focus on safe methods, accurate site records and continuous improvement.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Supervisor to join our growing Wales team, supporting the delivery of a portfolio of rail and civil engineering projects across long-term framework agreements and capital delivery schemes.
A key focus of this role will be supporting the delivery of major footbridge improvement works across North Wales, including the Sandy Lane and Pen Uchaf footbridge widening schemes. These projects form part of Network Rail and Transport for Wales' active travel and accessibility investment programme, delivering DDA-compliant infrastructure that improves connectivity for local communities.
Our Wales business unit delivers a diverse range of civil engineering and rail infrastructure projects throughout the region. Working across both framework and tendered contracts, we provide multidisciplinary solutions for clients including Network Rail, Transport for Wales, Local Authorities and the Environment Agency.
Current programmes include CP7 rail infrastructure works, structural renewals, station enhancements, access-for-all schemes, bridge refurbishments and replacements, environmental projects and major footbridge upgrades. The team is currently mobilising significant works across North Wales, with the Sandy Lane and Pen Uchaf schemes representing high-profile projects within our expanding regional portfolio.
Reporting to the Site Manager, Site Agent or Project Manager, you will play a key role in the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of rail and civil engineering works.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day site leadership, coordinating operatives, plant and subcontractors while ensuring activities are delivered safely, to programme, and to the required quality standards. The role will involve both weekday and possession-based working, including weekends and nights where required to support rail operations.
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience supervising rail or civil engineering projects and be confident leading teams in a safety-critical environment.
You will be an effective communicator with strong organisational skills and a practical understanding of rail infrastructure delivery, quality requirements and safe systems of work.
You will be joining a reputable and firmly established, engineering contractor operating nationally in rail, civils and engineering markets.
