AmcoGiffen is seeking a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer to deliver rail station infrastructure and civil works in Scotland. You will work within a busy Operational team, reporting to the Project Manager/Site Agents, and focus on safety, quality, and efficient delivery on multi-disciplinary projects.

• PTS certification preferred but not essential.

Business Unit

You will be part of a busy team dealing with a variety of multi-disciplinary civil engineering projects. Our clients include Local Authorities, Network Rail, and Environmental agencies. Typical projects may encompass civil engineering works such as:

• Highways and roads
• Underbridges, overbridges, and footbridges
• Tunnels and flood alleviation projects
• Earthworks and embankments
• Rail platforms and station infrastructure

We are currently engaged in several live infrastructure projects and long-term frameworks, including the Scottish Civils framework supporting renewals projects on the Network Rail infrastructure.

The Role

As a Site/Senior Site Engineer, you will be an integral member of the Operational team, tasked with the delivery of rail station infrastructure projects across Scotland. Your reporting line will be to the Project Manager/Site Agents, and your responsibilities include:

• Setting out and surveying works on site

Requirements

Qualifications

• Degree / HNC / HND in Civil Engineering
• PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification (preferred but not essential)

Experience

• Proven setting out experience with a strong understanding of surveying
• Ability to interpret contract drawings and specifications accurately
• Responsible for dimensional control on site
• Supervisory experience over labour, plant, materials, and sub-contractors
• Proficient record-keeping skills for progress and quality control
• Experience in planning weekly site works including documentation such as Inspection Test Plans and Work Package Plans
