Job summary

KBM Resourcing is recruiting a Site Supervisor - Metalwork to lead on-site installation teams across Scotland. You will supervise approx. 2-8 operatives, oversee balustrades, handrails, staircases and feature metalwork, and ensure setting out and secondary steelwork are delivered to spec.

Role requires CSCS/SMSTS, IPAF 3a/3b, PASMA, First Aid and a full UK driving licence. Local and UK-wide work with site-based pattern and allowances provided.

Qualifications

• CSCS Black Card (Manager) or Gold Supervisor Card.
• SMSTS or SSSTS, with SMSTS preferred.
• IPAF 3a & 3b, PASMA and First Aid.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Time-served background in architectural metalwork, steelwork or façade installation.
• Proven experience supervising teams on construction sites.

Responsibilities

SITE SUPERVISOR - METALWORK

Projects: Scotland Wide, Permanent Job, Accommodation + Overtime + Company Vehicle

KBM are working with an established and highly regarded specialist architectural metalwork contractor, delivering high-quality installations on major construction projects throughout Scotland.

With extensive workshop and fabrication facilities, the company works alongside leading Tier 1 contractors across commercial, education, public sector and landmark projects.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking for an experienced Working Site Supervisor to join their installation team.

The Working Pattern

The company offers an attractive working pattern, with approximately 50% of current work being local.

When working locally:

• Monday to Thursday, 7:00am- 5:15pm, with 39 hours paid per week
• 2.5 hours' paid travel time per day at normal rate when travelling

When working further away:

• Monday to Friday, with overtime available
• Accommodation, travel, food and other allowances provided
• Home every second weekend, subject to project requirements

The Role

This is a hands-on supervisory position where you'll continue to work on the tools while leading installation teams of approximately 2-8 operatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising and leading installation teams on site
• Installing architectural metalwork including balustrades, handrails, staircases and feature metalwork
• Installing secondary steelwork and carrying out setting out
• Managing architectural finishes from mill through to mirror finish
• Maintaining HSEQ standards, including RAMS, toolbox talks and permits
• Liaising with the main contractor and other site teams

Essential Qualifications & Tickets:

• CSCS Black Card (Manager) or Gold Supervisor Card
• SMSTS or SSSTS, with SMSTS preferred
• IPAF 3a & 3b, PASMA and First Aid
• Full UK Driving Licence

Experience Required:

• A time-served background in architectural metalwork, steelwork or façade installation
• Proven experience supervising teams on construction sites
• A practical, hands on approach to supervision

Package:

• Competitive hourly rate from £18 per hour minimum, depending on experience and qualifications
