Job description

The McDermott Group, due to the recent win of a significant contract, is seeking a Site Supervisor to join their dynamic team in Scotland.

Overview of the Role

  • Holidays: 30 days. Additional days per year of service, maximum of 5. Buy back scheme of additional 5 days.

The McDermott Group HQ is located within a new state-of-the-art office building in Perth, accredited with the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) Gold standard.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Support the Site Manager in coordinating the delivery of the programme.
  • Accept responsibility for such duties and responsibilities as the Site Manager may determine; in particular, as and when required, deputize for the Site Manager.
  • Support the Site Manager in ensuring that the on-site team is performing and identify any quality issues to the Site Manager.
  • Be responsible for delivering excellent service in line with company guidelines.
  • CSCS Card holder preferable.
  • SSSTS holder preferable.
  • Experience of working within established programs.
  • Assertive to ensure delivery of targets by the on-site team and trades/labour.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet changing business needs.
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 in Construction Management or a time-served tradesman with considerable experience of the full range of construction trades.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the construction trade and the relevant legislative requirements e.g., Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Good knowledge, understanding, and experience of dealing with all issues relating to Customer Service.
  • Must have IDLR/Full Rights to work in the UK. Sponsorship will not be provided.
