Job summary

Securitas UK in Bedford is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee daily security operations. You’ll lead the on-site security team, coordinate rotas, maintain high service standards, and ensure compliance with policies and client requirements.

You’ll manage staffing, monitor performance, coach officers, and address operational issues promptly. A strong customer-focused approach and excellent English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA licence.
• A valid driving licence.
• 5+ years security experience.
• Supervisory experience.
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
• Reliable and trustworthy.
• Motivated and willing to learn.
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the appearance and behaviours of security personnel, taking remedial action as appropriate.
• Maintain assignment instructions and site documentation up to date.
• Ensure all incidents are reported in line with customer and company policy.
• Plan, develop and implement staff training, including routine duties and emergencies.
• Monitor faults with security equipment and report appropriately.
• Be fully conversant with Access Control CCTV, Detection and Alarm Systems and maintain effective monitoring and reporting.
• Assist the Site Manager with reasonable requests.

Hours: 60 hours a week, Monday – Friday, 7am – 7pm

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Monitoring and managing the appearance and behaviours of all Security personnel, taking remedial action as appropriate and in line with company policy and procedures
• Assignment instructions and site documentation kept up to date
• All incidents are reported in compliance with customer and company policy and procedures

• Being fully conversant with operational functions including Access Control CCTV, Detection and Alarm Systems, ensuring an effective monitoring and reporting function is maintained
• Assist the Site Manager with any reasonable or practical request
