Job summary

Fusion People Ltd seeks a skilled Sub Agent for a fixed-term contract running from 5 October 2026 to 18 December 2026. You will lead and control a section of the works, managing a team of Section Engineers and Site Engineers within the same discipline, driving operational excellence while championing health, safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Rate: £40 an hour (PAYE Only).
• Core qualifications: Driving license, CSCS Card, and SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
• Experience in construction processes with strong leadership abilities.
• Personal qualities: good communication, flexibility for unsociable hours, solution-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Health, Safety & Environment: lead incident investigations, review method statements and risk assessments, carry out audits, and manage permits including Confined Space and Hot Works.
• Engineering Control & Quality: guide and coach team members in technical requirements, setting out, and resolving construction issues; own handover documentation and quality processes.
• Productivity & Commercial: produce resourced stage programmes, track KPIs, monitor weekly costs against budget, assist with subcontractor procurement and management.
