Job summary

Pioneer Selection - Manufacturing & Industry Recruitment Specialists is seeking a Site Services Engineer for a modern FMCG site in Gloucestershire. You will handle electrical and mechanical maintenance on automated production lines, focusing on uptime and reliability.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, fault-finding skills, and the ability to work a 4 on, 4 off days pattern. A recognised ONC+ qualification is preferred, with additional PLC fault-finding being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Hands-on maintenance on automated production machinery including electrical and mechanical fault-finding.
• Experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced factory.
• Basic PLC fault-finding experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on automated and semi-automated production machinery.
• Perform fault-finding and PLC fault-finding as needed.
• Execute planned preventative maintenance to maximise uptime and efficiency.
• Contribute to reducing downtime and improving production performance across the site.

SITE SERVICES ENGINEER

Job Title: Site Services Engineer

Location: Gloucestershire

Salary: Up to £52,000

Shift: 4 on, 4 off days only

Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer.

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Site Services Engineer to join a modern, high-tech FMCG manufacturing site in Gloucestershire. You will be responsible for carrying out both electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, and planned preventative maintenance on a range of automated and semi-automated production machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Working on a 4 on, 4 off days only shift pattern, you will play a key role in reducing downtime, improving reliability, and supporting production performance across the site.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Site Services Engineer

• Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Utilities/Boiler/Refrigeration/Water systems/PSSR/LOLER experience essential
• Hands on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast paced industrial factory.
• Ability to work a days and nights shift pattern.

Requirements for the Site Services Engineer

• Hands-on electrical fault-finding experience.
• Recognised engineering qualification (ONC +)
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical maintenance experience (motors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics and hydraulics).
• Basic PLC fault-finding experience advantageous.

Desirable Requirements for the Site Services Engineer.

• Experience working as a Site Services Engineer in the UK.
• Previous experience within FMCG, food, beverage or packaging environments.
