Job summary

Orange Monkey Recruitment is seeking a Site Services Team Leader for a busy food manufacturing site in Malton, North Yorkshire. You will lead a team of 7 engineers to ensure all site utilities and facilities run safely and reliably, supporting 24/7 production.

The role requires strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience, leadership ability to drive standards and continuous improvement, and hands-on supervision of maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Services Leader or similar role.
• Electrical qualifications (18th Edition preferred).
• Strong mechanical maintenance experience.
• Background in manufacturing, FMCG or industrial engineering.
• Experience using CMMS maintenance systems.
• Excellent fault-finding skills and hands-on leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 7 Site Services Engineers.
• Plan and coordinate planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Maintain boilers, compressors, refrigeration, HVAC and utilities.
• Fault finding across electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Manage contractors and permit-to-work activities.
• Use CMMS to plan, schedule and record maintenance.
• Drive continuous improvement and engineering reliability.
• Promote health and safety culture across site.

Role: Site Services Team Leader

Location: Malton, North Yorkshire

Salary: £54,000

Shift: 4 on 4 off Days (5:30am - 5:30pm)

If you're an experienced Site Services Team Leader, Site Services Supervisor or Engineering Team Leader with a strong electrical and mechanical background, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

We're recruiting a Site Services Team Leader to lead a team of 7 Site Services Engineers at a busy food manufacturing site in Malton. As the Site Services Team Leader, you'll be responsible for ensuring all utilities, plant services and facilities operate safely, reliably and efficiently while supporting production 24/7.

This is a genuine leadership position where you'll remain close to the engineering while driving standards, improving reliability and developing your team.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading and developing a team of 7 Site Services Engineers.
• Planning and coordinating planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Maintaining critical site services including boilers, compressors, refrigeration, HVAC and utilities.
• Fault finding across electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Managing contractors and permit-to-work activities.
• Using CMMS systems to plan, schedule and record maintenance.
• Driving continuous improvement and engineering reliability.
• Promoting a strong health & safety culture across site.

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience as a Site Services Team Leader, Site Services Supervisor, Engineering Team Leader or Maintenance Team Leader.
• Electrical qualifications (18th Edition preferred).
• Strong mechanical maintenance experience.
• Manufacturing, food manufacturing, FMCG or industrial engineering background.
• Experience using CMMS maintenance systems.
• Excellent fault-finding skills.A hands-on leader who enjoys developing engineers and improving site performance.
