Job summary

Zest in Cambridgeshire is seeking a Site Services Engineer - Projects to join the team on a 12-month fixed term contract. You will own the site’s energy performance across refrigeration, steam, compressed air, gas boilers, and chilled water units, coordinating with maintenance and the energy/sustainability lead.

Qualifications

• Background in Site Services, Utilities, or Multi-Skilled Engineering is required.
• Engineering qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Genuine interest in energy efficiency and process optimisation.
• IOSH or equivalent risk assessment knowledge.
• Hands-on, proactive approach; a doing role.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and validating current set points and SOPs across refrigeration, steam, compressed air, and boiler systems.
• Building strong relationships with key contractors and OEMs.
• Supporting energy efficiency and sustainability projects, including major plant upgrades.
• Reducing reliance on external contractors by bringing knowledge in-house.
• Acting as a link between day-to-day site services and the wider sustainability strategy.
