Job summary

Greencore London Meals is seeking a hands-on Site Services Engineer to maintain and improve site services at our Park Royal facility. You will diagnose faults, perform proactive and reactive maintenance, and support audits to ensure assets operate safely and efficiently.

The role offers hybrid working with site-based duties at Greencore London Meals, Elveden Road, NW10 7. You will help drive continuous improvement across engineering processes while maintaining critical equipment and contributing

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical fault-finding capability in a site services/industrial environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and safely restore assets.
• Good knowledge of mechanical principles and utilities systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and carry out estate maintenance activities.
• Complete planned maintenance on site services assets.
• Undertake proactive maintenance using condition-based monitoring techniques.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance to restore service.
• Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation and pneumatic systems.
• Manufacture or repair component parts to support asset reliability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and failure investigations.
• Contribute to technical performance reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and support audit requirements.
• Support development of technical competence within the team.
• Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are available and fit for purpose.

What you’ll be doing

In this hands-on role, you’ll maintain and improve site services through planned, proactive and reactive maintenance, ensuring critical assets operate safely, reliably and efficiently.

You’ll diagnose faults, repair components, support audits and contribute to continuous improvement across engineering processes.

• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and support audit requirements
• Support the development of technical competence within the team
• Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are available and fit for purpose

What we’re looking for

• Strong mechanical installation and fault-finding capability within a site services or industrial environment
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and safely restore assets to full operational condition
• Good working knowledge of mechanical principles, utilities systems and spare parts management
• A structured and safety-focused approach to maintenance activities and problem solving
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Strong planning and organisational skills to manage workload effectively
• Competence in basic IT systems for maintenance reporting and documentation
• A continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to reliability and performance
• Additional qualifications or knowledge in areas such as HVAC, refrigeration, gas safety or improvement methodologies would be advantageous
