Job summary

Greencore London Meals in Park Royal, West London, seeks a Site Services Engineer to maintain and improve site services, ensuring assets operate safely, reliably and efficiently. You will diagnose faults, repair components, support audits and contribute to continuous improvement across engineering processes.

This hybrid/site-based role requires hands-on maintenance and a proactive approach to reliability and performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical installation and fault-finding capability in a site services/industrial setting.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and safely restore assets to operation.
• Knowledge of mechanical principles, utilities systems and spare parts management.
• Structured, safety-focused approach to maintenance and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and carry out estate maintenance activities.
• Complete planned maintenance on site services assets.
• Undertake proactive maintenance using condition-based techniques.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance to restore service.
• Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and automation systems.
• Manufacture or repair component parts to support asset reliability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and investigations.
• Contribute to technical performance reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain engineering documentation and support audits.
• Support development of technical competence within the team.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this hands-on role, you’ll maintain and improve site services through planned, proactive and reactive maintenance, ensuring critical assets operate safely, reliably and efficiently.

You’ll diagnose faults, repair components, support audits and contribute to continuous improvement across engineering processes.

Role Accountabilities

• Prepare for and carry out estate maintenance activities
• Complete planned maintenance on site services assets
• Undertake proactive maintenance using condition-based monitoring techniques
• Respond to breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance to restore service
• Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation and pneumatic systems
• Manufacture or repair component parts to support asset reliability
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and failure investigations
• Contribute to technical performance reviews with cross-functional teams
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and support audit requirements
• Support the development of technical competence within the team
• Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are available and fit for purpose

What We’re Looking For

• Strong mechanical installation and fault-finding capability within a site services or industrial environment
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and safely restore assets to full operational condition
• Good working knowledge of mechanical principles, utilities systems and spare parts management
• A structured and safety-focused approach to maintenance activities and problem solving
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Strong planning and organisational skills to manage workload effectively
• Competence in basic IT systems for maintenance reporting and documentation
• A continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to reliability and performance
• Additional qualifications or knowledge in areas such as HVAC, refrigeration, gas safety or improvement methodologies would be advantageous
