Job summary

A leading security services provider in Greater London seeks an experienced Security Operative to monitor and facilitate staff and vehicle access at a high-risk site. Responsibilities include maintaining security awareness, assisting staff and visitors, and reporting incidents. Candidates must hold a current SIA Door Supervisor license for over three years and possess a strong background in security. This role requires working 12-hour shifts, including weekends, and a self-motivated, customer-focused attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Current SIA Door Supervisor license holder for over 3 years.
• Previous experience in high-risk security environment.
• Self-motivated with proven security background.
• Evidence of up-to-date security and first aid skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entry/exit of staff, visitors, and contractors.
• Facilitate vehicle access in accordance with policies.
• Maintain high security awareness and vigilance.
• Operate communication systems as required.
• Complete incident reports per company policy.
• Assist staff and visitors courteously.
• Undertake patrols as directed.

Job description

To provide external security operative to work in high-risk site monitoring facilitating staff and vehicle access. Ensure duties are conducted in accordance with policies and company procedures. Monitor and react to staff security and safety matters. Occasionally to carry out other security functions on site as required. 12-hour shifts to include weekend working.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and facilitate entry/exit of staff, visitor’s and contractor’s using access control systems.
• Monitor or facilitate entry and exit of staff and contractor’s vehicles in accordance with policies.
• Maintain a high level of security awareness and vigilance promoting a security-minded culture.
• Monitor and operate radio and telephone communication system as required.
• Complete incident reports as required in line with company policy.
• Assist staff and visitor’s as required in courteous and professional customer focused manner.
• Undertake patrols or other security-related functions in accordance with management instructions as required.

Requirements

• Current SIA Door Supervisor license holder for over 3 years.
• Previous experience working in a high-risk security and customer focussed environment.
• Self-motivated, focused individual with a proven security background.
• Evidence of security and first aid skills that must be maintained in date.
