Qualifications

• Ownership, customer service and integrity demonstrated by clear communication.
• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent employment.
• 4+ years of managing and scaling distributed systems in cloud environments.
• Experience deploying, supporting and supervising services, platforms and stacks.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Experience with scale testing, disaster recovery and capacity planning.
• Automation mindset to reduce repetitive manual work.
• Proficiency writing code in Java/Go/Python/Perl.
• Strong performance analysis skills and efficient programming.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Nginx, Envoy, Prometheus and/or Docker.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, support and monitor services, platforms and stacks.
• Use scale testing to measure, tune and optimize performance.
• Improve availability, scalability and security of Apple's internet services.
• Build and run systems, infrastructure and applications through automation.
