Job summary

Apple is seeking a hardworking SRE Engineer to join the Private Cloud Compute team, focusing on availability, automation, and privacy-preserving cloud infrastructure at scale.

You will operate services in a high-availability environment, tackle complex technical problems, and contribute to shaping how Apple builds and runs its services globally with strong ownership and collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent employment
• 4+ years experience in managing and scaling distributed systems in cloud environments
• Experience deploying, supporting and supervising services, platforms, and stacks
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Experience with scale testing, disaster recovery, and capacity planning
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Python, or Perl
• Experience with Kubernetes, Nginx, Envoy, Prometheus, and Docker

Responsibilities

• Deploy, support and monitor services, platforms, and stacks
• Use scale testing to measure, tune and optimize performance
• Enhance and deliver software to improve availability, scalability and security
• Build and run systems through automation
• Participate in periodic on-call duties
