Responsibilities
- Minimize downtime and ensure platform stability.
- Drive and own the Monitoring strategy with clear goals and objectives.
- Optimize operational overheads through observability and automation.
- Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for service availability.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to meet reliability goals.
- Promote continuous improvement in platform health, compliance, and resiliency.
- Oversee system monitoring, incident response, and problem resolution practices.
- Work with stakeholders to enhance Site Reliability practices within CVL.
- Lead and mentor the SRE team, fostering collaboration and excellence.
- Bridge development and support teams with an ‘as-a-service’ mindset.
- Gain exposure to systems in staging and production environments.
- Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements
Essential
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in software development, infrastructure, or operations.
- Knowledge of observability principles, techniques, and tools.
- Experience with RESTful APIs in Java or Python.
- Technical aptitude for complex distributed systems.
- Knowledge of PowerShell and C#.
- Experience with Incident Management Processes (ITSM).
Desirable
- AWS, Linux (Debian, CentOS, Alpine), Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins, NGINX, MySQL, Networking, Security.
- Certifications: SRE Foundation or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional.
