Job summary

CGI is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to help ensure availability, resilience and performance of mission-critical services supporting national security programmes in the UK. You’ll automate operational processes, improve observability and own service health within Agile, cross-functional teams.

You will strengthen Kubernetes-based environments, drive deployment automation and enable scalable solutions that deliver high-quality outcomes securely.

Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerised environments (Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of monitoring, logging and observability tooling.
• Linux administration and troubleshooting expertise.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and release automation practices.
• Understanding of incident management and service reliability methodologies.
• Programming or scripting experience in Go, Python, Java and/or Bash.
• Experience working with Git-based development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively within Agile delivery teams.

• Collaborate & Contribute within Agile, cross-functional delivery teams.
• Drive & Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
