18 Month Contract PAYE - Fully Remote or Hybrid based in Midlands if preferred.

The role

We are working with one of the finest gaming studios in the industry and are seeking an exceptional Site Reliability Engineer to bring their expertise and innovative thinking to strengthen their team.

As an SRE, the main purpose is to solve scalability issues through collaboration and automation, applying engineering principles to infrastructure and operational challenges.

Work closely with various teams to improve manual tasks, operational processes, reduce complexities and risks, enhance communication, and reinvent workflows to help teams succeed.

Manage a scaling platform, maintain its programmable infrastructure, and maximize the availability of workloads both in live production and during the delivery lifecycle.

Duties

• Minimize downtime for products and services
• Ensure the platform is stable, scalable, and fully automated
• Improve and shorten development and process lifecycles
• Implement effective monitoring and alerting systems
• Support releases through stable and automated pipeline processes

Skills

• Proficiency in languages such as PowerShell and C#
• Experience managing or implementing large-scale distributed server systems within Azure
• Experience with modern release pipelines – CI/CD (Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps, TeamCity)
• Knowledge of Azure monitoring, alerting, and message queues
• Understanding or experience with Incident Management Processes (ITSM)
