MCS Group is proud to be working with a multi-national software development organisation as they seek to expand their team with the addition of a Site Reliability Engineer on a permanent basis to work remotely.

(Fully Remote/Belfast)

The Role

• Design, implement, and optimise AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Contribute to the automation of operational processes and deployments using Python and other scripting tools.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Develop and enforce cloud security strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Incident Response and troubleshooting

The Person

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Commercial experience managing cloud technologies and services (AWS)
• Expertise in enterprise system management, including package installations, automation, and system administration.
• Scripting proficiency e.g. Python, Bash
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Windows
• Commercial experience with Docker/Kubernetes, and containerisation.
• Elasticsearch experience is a plus!
• Understanding of SRE, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously.
• Full right to work in the UK. The client is unable to sponsor for the role at this time.
