Job summary

Wipro is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our engineering team. You will help ensure the availability, performance, and security of critical platforms and services, collaborating with software engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams to build scalable solutions.

You will automate provisioning, establish strong observability, and lead incident response while continuously reducing toil through automation and optimization.

Qualifications

• Strong automation skills with Python, Go and shell scripting.
• Linux/macOS administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, load balancers).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker container platforms.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).

Responsibilities

• Champion service reliability, availability, and performance against SLOs.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will help ensure the availability, performance, and security of business-critical platforms and services. Your Responsibilities

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will:

• Champion service reliability, availability, and performance against agreed service level objectives (SLOs)
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code principles
• Establish observability through monitoring, telemetry, dashboards, and actionable alerting
• Lead incident response activities, communicate service status, and drive post-incident improvements
• Eliminate operational toil through automation and continuous service optimisation

Mandatory Skills

You will have a strong understanding of:

• Python, Go, and shell scripting for automation and operational engineering
• Linux and macOS administration and troubleshooting
• Networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, and load balancing
• Kubernetes, Docker, and containerised platform operations
• Infrastructure as Code and observability platforms such as Terraform, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry

Ideally, you will be familiar with:

• CI/CD pipelines and release management strategies
• Web application and API service operations
• Database administration, backup, recovery, and performance optimisation
• Enterprise identity and access management technologies including SSO, OAuth, SAML, and RBAC
• AI/ML platforms and GPU-enabled workloads
