Job description

Global technology company is expanding its EMEA customer operations support team and is looking to hire a SRE (Linux) Engineer for their Bristol office.

Key skills/experience required:

1. A degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related subjects
2. 3+ years of experience administering Linux systems
3. Strong hands-on experience with variants of Linux
4. Experience working with AWS or GCP
5. Familiarity with deployment tools such as Ansible Tower and Jenkins
6. Experience working with automation platforms
7. Experience in large deployments to global infrastructure
8. Proficiency with orchestration/configuration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Puppet
9. Strong knowledge of networking, packet tracing, latency, and throughput to resolve application issues
10. Thorough understanding of HTTP(S), SMTP, TLS/SSL, DNS, LDAP, Kubernetes, and Docker containers
11. Experience in system/application administration in high-availability, large-scale, customer-facing environments
12. Confidence in at least one scripting language such as Perl, shell, Ruby, or Python
13. Experience with monitoring systems
