Building Careers UK Ltd is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial elements of a major CAT A/B fit-out project at Shotton Mill, Deeside. You will work closely with the Project Manager and site team on procurement, cost control and final accounts.

The role is full-time and site-based, with a focus on commercial performance, CVRs and subcontract management. Applicants should have proven QS experience in fit-out or construction and be prepared for a daily on-site commute to Deeside.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as Quantity Surveyor in construction or fit-out
• Experience with live construction projects and CAT A/B fit-out
• Strong understanding of CVRs, valuations and final accounts
• Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes
• Experience reading drawings and construction documentation
• Good numerical and analytical abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Aufgaben

• Take responsibility for commercial management from procurement through final account
• Manage project costs, budgets and financial performance
• Prepare and maintain accurate Cost Value Reconcilations (CVRs)
• Monitor expenditure against budgets and forecasts
• Prepare monthly cost and commercial reports
• Undertake measurement and valuation of completed works
• Prepare interim valuations and payment applications
• Review subcontractor and supplier applications
• Procure and manage subcontract and supplier packages
• Obtain and negotiate competitive quotations
• Prepare and manage subcontract documentation
• Manage variations, change control and commercial instructions
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
• Assist with contract administration and correspondence
• Monitor project progress and its impact on commercial performance
• Collaborate with Project Manager and site team to align commercial/operational goals
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
• Assist with dispute resolution as required
• Manage commercial close-out and final accounts
• Maintain accurate commercial records and ensure procedures are followed
• Support and mentor junior commercial team members
