Job summary

Building Careers UK is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a major CAT A & B fit-out project at Shotton Mill, Deeside. The role is full-time, site-based, offering exposure to a multi-million-pound architectural package and a comprehensive benefits package.

The successful candidate will have proven QS experience in construction/fit-out, strong procurement and CVR expertise, and be able to work closely with the Project Manager and site team to align commercial and operational objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Quantity Surveyor within construction, fit-out, refurbishment or interiors.
• Ideally 2+ years' experience operating at QS level.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, valuations, variations, CVRs and final accounts.
• Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the commercial management of the project from procurement through to final account.
• Manage project costs, budgets and financial performance.
• Prepare and maintain accurate Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
• Monitor project expenditure against budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare monthly cost and commercial reports.
• Undertake measurement and valuation of completed works.
• Review and assess subcontractor and supplier applications.
• Procure and manage subcontract and supplier packages.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Assist with contractual correspondence and contract administration.
