Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Site Quality Manager to join our team at Britvic. In this role, you will develop and lead the Site Strategy for Quality and Food Safety, ensuring all objectives are met in line with legislative, regulatory, and quality standards. You will champion a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion quality standards and legal compliance within the operations teams.
  • Act as the Food Safety Team leader, championing Food Safety for the Manufacturing Teams on site.
  • Work in conjunction with the Operations Development function.
  • Coordinate coaching, training, and information to enable site teams to deliver their quality and food safety role requirements competently.
  • Lead, support, and coach quality incident investigations to establish root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions, driving continuous improvement based on site trends.
  • Lead, support, and coach site activities to prevent and control all non-conformances, internal or external, through quality processes.
  • Ensure Quality systems are embedded and maintained.
  • Proactively identify, review, and take ownership for improvement through zero loss.
  • Oversee the verification and maintenance of process and quality control equipment.
  • Lead 3rd party accreditation standards for all external and internal audits for the Site.
  • Maintain good relations and keep contact with any regulatory bodies associated with the quality function.
  • Support the GB&I Operations Development team with the implementation of change projects.
  • Embed Britvic's Purpose, Vision, Values, and Behaviors within the site, aligned with driving a 'one Britvic' way of operating where all employees understand the total goal of the organization.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in quality, food safety, microbiology, in an FMCG environment.
  • Strong people leadership skills and ability to integrate differing functional demands.
  • Skilled in coaching and influencing others.
  • Proven people management skills with the ability to flex styles to differing individual needs.
  • Sound knowledge of food production processes and legislation is desirable.
  • Computer skills required, SAP an advantage.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience in people development and performance management.
  • Some knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation and procedures.
  • Specific product, ingredient, and packaging knowledge of the soft drinks industry is desirable.
  • Implementation of Quality processes and adherence to standards.

Education/Qualifications

  • Appropriate qualification for the role.
  • Intermediate HACCP.
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene.
  • ISO Lead Auditor is desirable.
