Job summary

Wates Property Services, part of the Wates Group, is seeking an experienced Site Quantity Surveyor to join the Planned Maintenance team covering Brent and Ealing. You will support the commercial delivery of social housing planned maintenance programmes, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, profitably and in line with client expectations.

This site-based role offers exposure to multiple live projects, providing commercial oversight from inception

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, planned maintenance or refurbishment environments.
• Experience delivering social housing/planned maintenance projects.
• Strong understanding of cost management, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Experience procuring and managing subcontractor accounts.

Responsibilities

• Manage project costs and commercial reporting.
• Prepare and submit valuations, applications and variations.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages.
• Review subcontractor accounts and support final accounts negotiation.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with site teams for accurate cost capture and programme reporting.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
