Job summary

GXO is seeking a QHSE & Facilities Advisor to support a safe and compliant operation on the Amazon contract in Avonmouth. The role involves promoting a positive safety culture and coordinating facilities management in a busy site environment.

You will work with site leaders, contractors and teams to ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards, while driving improvements through audits and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent health & safety qualification.
• Experience in a QHSE, Health & Safety or Facilities role within an operational environment.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, risk assessments and contractor management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of health, safety, environmental and quality standards across the site.
• Conduct audits, inspections and workplace checks to identify risks and drive improvements.
• Manage contractor compliance, including permits to work, inductions and site documentation.
• Investigate incidents, track corrective actions and support the implementation of preventative measures.
• Maintain compliance records and work closely with operational teams to promote a positive safety culture.
