Job summary

EDF Energy Limited seeks a Planning Engineer/Project Planner to develop, operate and monitor contract programmes for HPC projects. The role is on-site at HPC full-time and requires producing and updating programmes, forecasting critical paths, and liaising with stakeholders to report accurate contract status.

Experience in petrochemical, power and process sectors is essential, along with fluency in Primavera P6 and Excel. The position is staff salaried and based at the HPC site in the UK.

Qualifications

• Sufficient and appropriate assistant/trainee Planning Engineer experience.
• Experience in Petrochemical, Power & Process Industry sectors.
• Ability to produce a feasible programme of activities from a given scope of work.
• Strong communication to liaise with all relevant parties and report status.
• Ability to anticipate critical programme areas for management action.
• Fluency in Primavera P6 and Excel to provide prompt, accurate information.
• Awareness of technical implications and interfaces to programme work.
• Staff salaried position based on site at HPC, full-time.

Responsibilities

• Produce programme reflecting contract requirements.
• Monitor and update programme with relevant parties.
• Predict and communicate critical path deviations for action.
• Optimise use of software to meet accountabilities.
• Incorporate emergent works into existing programmes.
• Report progress against programme and record delays with reasoning.
• Allocate estimate costs to activities and assist baselining.
• Develop and communicate resource requirements to meet timescales.
• Analyse Earned Value Performance on the project.
