Job summary

Multi Trades Recruitment Ltd is seeking a mechanically minded individual for a fixed plant role in a busy manufacturing environment. The role involves operating fixed plant, assisting the production process and performing basic maintenance and quality checks.

You will work a 3-week rotating shift with early, run, and night patterns and may need a forklift licence. The position offers long-term progression and training opportunities, with immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Mechanically minded and practical.

• Able to work independently without constant supervision.
• Manufacturing, waste, aggregates, concrete or similar industrial experience desirable.
• Mobile Plant and/or Forklift Truck licence desirable.
• Willing to undertake further training.
• Must be willing to comply with drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate fixed plant and assist with the production process.
• Perform basic plant maintenance and identify breakdowns.
• Handle materials and conduct basic quality control.
• Maintain general housekeeping and cleaning of plant and machinery.
• Operate Loading Shovel / Forklift when required.
• Support ongoing training and skills development to progress in the business.

About the role:

• Working Hours - 37.5 hours per week
• 3-week rolling shift rota
• 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 / 22:00-06:00
• Pay Rate - £14.90 per hour
• Working within a busy manufacturing environment
• Operating fixed plant and assisting with the production process
• Basic plant maintenance and breakdown identification
• Materials handling and basic quality control
• General housekeeping and cleaning of plant/machinery
• Loading Shovel / Forklift operation when required
