Job summary

The Howard School is seeking a Site Operative and Lettings Assistant to join the Premises team. You will help maintain a safe, welcoming environment and support daily operations including security, lettings, bookings and site setup.

This permanent, full-time role is 37 hours per week with NJC pay scale D2 4-11 (£26,016–£29,071 per annum). There is a 10% top-up for Sunday shifts and late-evening hours.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of the site and Premises team.
• Assist with site security and health and safety.
• Co-ordinate community lettings, bookings and events.
• Set up venues and maintain facilities for lessons and outside groups.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness and upkeep across the site.

Job description

The Howard School is looking to appoint a Site Operative and Lettings Assistant to join the Premises team.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and upkeep, and contribute to providing a safe, welcoming and well-presented learning environment.

You will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the school, supporting site security, community lettings, bookings, site set-up and the general upkeep of the school facilities. You will help ensure the school provides a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, visitors and community users.

This is a permanent, all year round position, working 37 hours per week, paid on the NJC pay scale D2 points 4-11 (FTE £26,016-£29,071 per annum). There will be an additional 10% top-up on the salary for any Sunday shifts and hours worked between 20:00 and 22:15
