SITE OPERATIVE

Location: SHOREHAM BY SEA

Type: Permanent

Hours: 7am - 4pm

Salary: £27,000 - £28,000 + overtime

We are looking for a site operative to work for a family-run business, a leading supplier of agricultural feed that imports and exports internationally.

The role is varied and hands-on, supporting the site manager with daily operations.

Main Duties:

• Dealing with incoming cargo of product and taking samples of the feed for quality testing before loading into storage tanks.
• Overseeing the intake process and liaising with drivers.
• Completing crop quality tests and recording data onto the database system for quality control.
• Assisting with ship loading operations.
• Full training will be provided.

About You:

• The role is fairly active, involving manual handling, time on your feet, working outdoors, and working from height.
• You should be enthusiastic and practically minded.
• Relevant background experience in logistics operations or a similar industry is preferred.
• A forklift truck license or experience using a forklift is desirable; refresher training can be arranged.
