Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role in a laboratory environment is desirable.
• IOSH or similar training would be an advantage.

• Manage all incoming and outgoing deliveries including goods receipt and dry ice.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Handle waste management responsibilities.
• Perform stock control duties and oversee laboratory gas cylinder management.

What you'll be doing:

• Manage all incoming and outgoing deliveries, including goods receipt, dry ice, blood samples, and courier coordination
  
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including glass wash, drying machines, and autoclave sterilization machines
  
• Handle waste management responsibilities including collection of general, clinical, and recycling waste, coordinating with waste collection services
  
• Perform stock control duties including inventory management, stock takes, and internal lab deliveries
  
• Oversee laboratory gas cylinder management including ordering, monitoring, and manual changeover when needed
  
• Maintain site cleanliness and organization through regular housekeeping duties
  

What we're looking for:

• An understanding of manual handling techniques
  
• Communication and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate to all levels of organisation in a clear, concise and respectful manner
  
• IT literate
  
• General awareness of good Health and Safety practises
  
• Experience in a similar role in a laboratory environment would be desirable
  
• IOSH or similar training would be desirable
