First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Yard Operative/HGV Driver on behalf of one of our fantastic clients based in Bedfordshire.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Move vehicles to the workshop and around the yard when required.
• Take vehicles for MOT’s.
• Valet the vehicles ready to be collected by the customer or delivered to the customer.
• Ensure all additional equipment for the delivery is in place.
• Ensuring all paperwork is correct if required.
• High standard of housekeeping in the workshop and yard area to be maintained.
• Flexible work ethic · Attention to detail. · Occasional night away may be required.
• Effective communication skills · Forklift operation, assist with parts where necessary.
• Deliveries and collections to and from customers and suppliers. HGV’s and parts
• Assist with the stock take

Skills and Qualifications:

• HGV 2 licence
• Experience working in a similar industry desirable but not essential.
• Experience of working in a workshop environment would be an advantage.
• To always work safely and in accordance with the company’s health and safety procedures. Precautions should be taken as necessary when visiting sites, adopting the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
