Job summary

SUEZ is hiring a Site Operative at Bideford Recycling Centre to provide excellent customer service and assist the public on how to use the site to maximise material recovery while keeping the site tidy.

No prior waste experience is required as full training is provided; there is an hourly rate of £12.81, with potential overtime at an enhanced rate and a benefits package including wellbeing programmes and a pension.

• Provide excellent levels of customer service, advising and assisting members of the public on how to use the site to maximise recovery of materials and keep the site tidy.

We’re looking for positive people to join our team as a Site Operative where you can be a part of a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate would be happy to fulfil the daily tasks set out and enjoy interacting with the public.

About the Role

Location: Bideford Recycling Centre, EX39 3BE

• Hourly Rate: £12.81
• Working days are Monday and Tuesday, Weekly hours are 15 winter, 16 summer.
• Hours of work are: Start Times: Weekdays 08:45, Weekends 09:45.
  Finish Time: Summer (April to September) Weekdays 17:15, Weekends 18:15. Winter (October to March) 16:45
• No previous experience in the waste industry required as full training provided, however a good level of customer service is a must.
• Potential for overtime covering holidays etc. at an enhanced rate.
• Additional training opportunities including first aid.

What you’ll do:
