Job summary

SUEZ Devon is seeking a positive Site Operative to join a close-knit team at Crowndale HWRC in Tavistock, Devon. You will provide excellent customer service, guide the public on site usage to maximise material recovery and keep the site tidy, while adapting to the daily tasks and interacting with visitors.

The role offers a 40-hour summer schedule or 36.5-hour winter schedule with start times around 8:45am on weekdays.

We’re looking for positive people to join our team as a Site Operative where you can be a part of a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate would be happy to fulfil the daily tasks set out and enjoy interacting with the public.

About the Role

Location: Crowndale HWRC, Tavistock, Devon

• Salary: £24,396.89 per annum / £12.81 per hour
• Working hours: 40 Summer / 36.5 Winter
• Start Times: 8:45am Monday - Friday / 9:45am Saturday - Sunday
• Finish Times: Summer (April to September) Weekdays 17:15pm, Weekends 18:15pm, Winter (October to March) 16:45pm
• No previous waste experience required however a good level of customer service is a must
• Opportunities for overtime covering for holidays etc.
• Progression available if suited

What you’ll do:

Providing excellent levels of customer service, you will advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing and keeping the site tidy.
