As our Site Operative, you will be working in a multi-disciplined environment, supporting site waste operational activities, general maintenance of the site, wheel wash, and haul road. The site is easily accessible from Daventry, Southam, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth, Coventry, Meriden, Bedworth, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Leicester, Enderby, Oadby, Market Harborough, and the surrounding areas.

Main responsibilities:

• Reporting into the Site Supervisor, the successful Site Operative on a day-to-day basis will be carrying out the following (not exhaustive):
• Operating the tracked loading shovels
• Managing the daily tip face and daily cover needs
• Managing and controlling inbound deliveries and their safety
• Performing a duty of care for all Site Safety, Health, and Environmental needs
• Operating the excavator plant
• Managing the Site wheel wash
• Performing housekeeping and operational tasks which improve the Site effectiveness

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role of Site Operative will have previous experience of using mobile plant and exposure to operating in landfill or other waste facilities would be advantageous.

Furthermore, if you have a mobile plant certification in NVQ / EPIC / CITB, can demonstrate a strong focus on Health & Safety, and have strong attention to detail, this would be beneficial in your application.
