Job summary

Stroud District Council is seeking a proactive Site Officer to oversee Independent Living sites across the district. You will manage communal areas, ensure health & safety compliance, and coordinate cleaning, grounds maintenance, and light repairs. A full driving licence is required to travel between sites.

The role involves working with contractors and partner agencies to uphold high standards for internal and external events at the Independent Living Community HUBS.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Stroud District Council is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Site Officer to work in our Independent Living sites across the Stroud District. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the site managing the communal areas which includes Health & Safety, Compliance, cleaning, light grounds/gardening duties ensuring a clean and safe environment at all times. We operate Independent Living Community HUBS which need to be kept to a high standard for internal and external functions and activities.

About You

The successful candidate must have a ‘can do ‘attitude along with excellent time management and organisational skills.

You will be a self-starter with a willingness to recognise and report maintenance and repairs whilst communicating with contractors, partner agencies and visitors to our Independent Living sites.

You will have sufficient levels of fitness to carry out duties required such as cleaning, grounds maintenance and light repairs.

Full training will be provided to carry out Site Officer duties such as PAT testing, Health & Safety training and anything else relevant to the role.

A full driving licence is required, as this role requires travelling to various locations.
