Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction phase of a new extension to an operational Water Treatment Works in Windsor. You will lead day-to-day site delivery, coordinate civils and building works, and ensure construction safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires proven civil engineering or building extension delivery within the UK water sector, strong subcontractor leadership, and compliance with RAMS and ITP processes.

Qualifications

• UK water sector experience required.
• Proven track record delivering civil/building extensions.
• Experience leading teams on live plant sites.

Responsibilities

• Site Delivery: Manage day-to-day site operations for the building extension, coordinating civils, RC structures, groundworks, and building envelope workstreams.
• Team & Subcontractor Leadership: Direct trade gangs and subcontractors, working with the General Foreman to keep production aligned with short-term lookaheads.
• Health, Safety & Environment: Enforce water sector safety standards, run site inductions, sign off RAMS, and maintain safe interfaces around live plant assets.
• Quality & Progress Tracking: Oversee ITPs, manage site logistics, log daily diaries, and report progress to the Project Manager.

Site Manager (Water Treatment Works)

Location: Windsor

Rate: 400 - 450 per day (LTD / Outside IR35)

Duration: 3 Months Initial (Strong potential to move onto subsequent framework schemes)

Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction phase of a new extension to an operational Water Treatment Works (WTW).

You will join a fully resourced, collaborative site team-working alongside a Senior PM, PM, Project Engineer, General Foreman, and Supervisors-to drive front-line delivery, subcontractor performance, and rigorous site safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Delivery: Manage day-to-day site operations for the building extension, coordinating civils, RC structures, groundworks, and building envelope workstreams.
• Team & Subcontractor Leadership: Direct trade gangs and subcontractors, working in tandem with the General Foreman and Supervisors to keep production aligned with short-term lookaheads.
• Health, Safety & Environment: Enforce strict water sector safety standards, manage daily site inductions, sign off on RAMS, and maintain safe working interfaces around live plant assets.
• Quality & Progress Tracking: Oversee Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), manage site logistics, log daily diaries, and report progress directly to the Project Manager.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Proven track record as a Site Manager delivering civil engineering or building extensions within the UK water sector (WTW / WwTW).
• Leadership: Strong subcontractor management skills and a collaborative approach working alongside established engineering and management teams.

Mandatory Certifications

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
• CSCS Card (Management / Black or Gold)
• EUSR Category 1 & 2
• First Aid

Desirable Certifications

• TWC (Temporary Works Coordinator)
• AP (Authorised Person - Mechanical / Electrical / Pressure Systems)
