Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Site Manager to oversee major civil engineering and wastewater projects across North Wales, including Llanrwst Wastewater Treatment Works. This 12-month contract focuses on safe, compliant delivery of multi-million-pound programmes, coordinating site teams and subcontractors to milestones.

You will ensure health, safety and environmental standards are met, maintain records, and report progress to project managers and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Manager in civil engineering, water or wastewater.
• Strong knowledge of construction site management and project delivery.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in construction and water sectors.
• Ability to coordinate multiple teams and manage site activities.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to quality and environmental compliance.
• Relevant site management or civil engineering qualifications with suitable site safety certification.
• Willingness to work across wastewater sites in North Wales, with proximity to St Asaph advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day site operations across wastewater and civil engineering projects.
• Coordinating subcontractors, site teams, suppliers and specialist contractors.
• Monitoring construction activities to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
• Maintaining effective communication with project managers, engineers, clients and other stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Reviewing progress, identifying potential issues and supporting the delivery of project milestones.
• Maintaining accurate site records, reports and relevant project documentation.
