Caledonian Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking a Site Manager for on-site gas utility projects in the UK. You will oversee the safe, timely delivery of works, coordinate site teams and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with standards and safety regulations.

The role requires SCO 1, 2 and 5 qualifications with a strong background in gas distribution, mains replacement and related infrastructure. A proactive leader with excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold SCO 1, SCO 2 and SCO 5 qualifications.
• Gas distribution, mains replacement and associated infrastructure experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of gas utility works on site.
• Ensure works are completed safely, on time and to programme.
• Lead and manage site operatives, subcontractors and engineering teams.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and resources.
• Monitor progress and identify potential delays or issues.
• Ensure compliance with gas industry standards, company procedures and health & safety legislation.
• Carry out site inspections, toolbox talks and maintain accurate site records.
• Liaise with Project Managers, engineers, clients and stakeholders.
• Monitor quality and ensure works meet the required specification.
• Identify risks and escalate issues when necessary.
• Support commercial and operational teams with progress reporting.
• Promote a positive safety culture across the site.

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing utilities contractor that focus on Gas replacement works. Due to growth within the business they are now looking to recruit a Site Manager but you must hold specific SCO 1, 2, 5 Qualifications for this position. The Role

As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the safe, efficient and successful delivery of works on site, ensuring projects are completed to programme, specification and the required quality standards. You will be responsible for coordinating site teams, subcontractors and resources while maintaining a strong focus on health & safety, quality, productivity and customer satisfaction.
