Job description

Shorterm Group are delighted to be partnered with a global engineering/manufacturing business in their search for a number of full time, permanent Site Managers. Currently our client have projects live across the globe and are looking to appoint people ASAP.

Your main role will be assisting and overseeing sites in mixing and applying Subsea Insulation and fire protective materials to a variety of different structures primarily within the Oil and Gas Industry. As a Site Manager, you will need to be fully conversant with the application methods for company products. Experience in a similar role is required, and full training of their products will be provided, to start with you'll complete your inductions either at their head office or on site, encompassing the entire application process from start to finish.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Review progress in accordance with the project programme and report to the project team with progress to date and any areas for improvement and issues.
2. Monitor the use of materials, tools and PPE and report any issues to the project team in a timely manner.
3. Build effective relationships with the customer and their representatives.
4. Maintain weekly contact with the Senior Site Manager.
5. Manage suppliers and subcontractors effectively to meet the needs of each project.
6. Ensure that the site team are fully trained for their role and all QHSE updates are communicated.
7. Ensure that the site team are fully aware of the scope of work and their responsibilities whilst working on the project.
8. Recognise opportunity and potential for increased value and report to the project team in a timely manner.
9. Manage costs effectively to meet the projects requirements.
10. Provide accurate and transparent reports to the project team, inclusive of daily and weekly records and H&S reports.
11. Promote the development of staff working within the site team.
12. Hands-on application of materials as and when required.
13. Managing site teams to ensure their understanding of responsibilities and scope of work.
14. Managing stock control through monitoring use of materials, tools and PPE.
15. Timely completion of all necessary site documentation in legible, accurate and concise format.

Driving license is essential. As there is international travel involved, you must be a passport holder and have had your first two COVID jabs as well as no criminal convictions.

You'll be expected to be away from home for long periods of time (up to 12 weeks). When you do return home you will receive base salary whilst on R&R and between projects. When away you will receive uplifts for every day you are on site.

OTE (base salary + uplifts) for this role is 60,000- 67,000.
