Job summary

TGS International Group is seeking an experienced Site Manager – Structured Cabling to oversee the delivery of a major data centre project in Holborn, Central London. You will lead engineering teams, coordinate contractors, and ensure all installations are completed safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

This is a fully site‑based role requiring hands‑on management and strong stakeholder liaison.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing structured cabling installations within data centre environments.
• Strong knowledge of fibre‑optic and copper structured cabling systems and standards.
• Ability to lead, coordinate and motivate site‑based engineering teams and installation personnel.
• Experience delivering technical installation projects within fast‑paced construction or data centre environments.
• Solid knowledge of site health and safety procedures, risk assessments and method statements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and coordinate structured cabling installations across the data centre project.
• Lead, manage and motivate site‑based supervisors, cabling engineers and installation teams.
• Ensure installations meet project specifications, manufacturer requirements and quality standards.
• Coordinate site activities, installation schedules, labour resources and project priorities.
• Maintain health & safety compliance, including risk assessments and safe working procedures.
• Manage stock levels, material procurement and site logistics to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Order materials and ensure sufficient stock is available to maintain installation schedules.
• Monitor installation progress and provide regular updates to Project Managers.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure completed installations meet required technical standards.
• Read and update technical drawings, installation documentation and site records.
• Attend client meetings and communicate progress; complete agreed actions.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, installation records and handover information.
• Develop and coordinate patching schedules and ensure installation activities are completed on time.
• Compile Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manuals and supporting project documentation.
• Support urgent installation activities to maintain project delivery.
• Monitor resource utilisation and costs to maximise project profitability.

TGS International Group is supporting a leading technology and infrastructure services organisation in the appointment of an experienced Site Manager – Structured Cabling to oversee the delivery of a major data centre project in Holborn, Central London.

Our client specialises in delivering end‑to‑end connectivity solutions, structured cabling installations and IT infrastructure services across complex data centre and enterprise environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to take ownership of on‑site project delivery, leading engineering teams, coordinating contractors and ensuring all installations are completed safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day‑to‑day management and delivery of structured cabling and connectivity infrastructure installations within a data centre environment.

Working closely with Project Managers, supervisors, engineers and client representatives, you will coordinate site activities, manage resources and ensure projects are delivered in accordance with technical specifications, programme requirements and quality standards.

This is a fully site‑based position in Holborn, London, requiring hands‑on management of engineering teams, contractors and installation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Previous involvement in large‑scale data centre construction or connectivity infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing multiple structured cabling installation teams.
• Familiarity with project handover documentation, O&M manuals and quality assurance procedures.
• Experience coordinating directly with clients, main contractors and specialist installation teams.
• Strong understanding of structured cabling testing, installation standards and project delivery processes.
