Job summary

Fortem is recruiting a Site Manager for Grimsby with travel to Boston, Lincolnshire. You will lead site teams and subcontractors on retrofit and capital works social housing refurbishment programmes, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery.

The role reports to the Project Manager within the Northern Projects division. The ideal candidate will have NVQ4/HNC, SMSTS, CISRS Scaffold Inspection and CSCS, with experience in high standards of health and safety and customer liaison across supply

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: NVQ4 or HNC.
• SMSTS certification is required.
• CISRS Basic Scaffold Inspection is required.
• Role requires a CSCS card and First Aid at work certificate.
• Asbestos awareness is desirable.
• Experience in retrofit/capital works social housing refurbishment is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead site teams and subcontractors on retrofit and capital works projects.
• Plan and manage sub‑contract labour and resources.
• Ensure delivery of social housing refurbishment programmes to required specs.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental records on site.
• Organise site meetings and pre‑planning to optimise resources.
