Job summary

Equans is seeking a Site Manager to lead day‑to‑day construction activities on a Norfolk project, focusing on refurbishment for social housing. You will manage site teams, subcontractors and resources while ensuring safety, quality and client satisfaction.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role. Applicants should be experienced in refurbishment projects, strong in leadership, cost awareness, and able to read drawings and programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience in site management with refurbishment and framework projects.
• Knowledge of building and Health & Safety legislation.
• Full valid driving license and DBS checks as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day construction activities for a designated project.
• Support Contracts Manager with pre‑start activities and client meetings.
• Provide monthly progress reports to the Contracts Manager and client.
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures, PPE, inductions, risk assessments, and permits.
• Conduct scaffold, lifting equipment, and SHEQ inspections and report findings.
• Manage site safety, defects, quality standards, and subcontractors.
• Lead and develop site teams, liaising with stakeholders.
