Site Manager - Social Housing Refurb

Daniel Owen is proud to represent a leading social housing contractor based in South-East London, seeking a Site Manager to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have previous social housing refurbishment experience within SHDF/Retrofit projects. Responsibilities include:

1. Setting up the site prior to project commencement
2. Planning projects to meet specifications, budget, and timelines
3. Overseeing construction activities
4. Communicating with clients, professional staff, and the public
5. Supervising labor and subcontractors
6. Conducting safety inspections and ensuring site safety
7. Preparing reports, designs, and drawings
8. Maintaining quality control
9. Motivating the team
10. Problem-solving
11. Providing project updates to line managers
12. Using construction management software
13. Organizing procurement of materials and equipment
14. Proven experience with various planned works projects (e.g., Cladding, EWI/IWI, Window Replacements, Heat Pumps)
15. Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
16. Recruiting and developing team members
17. Estimating and scheduling works from drawings
18. Reviewing service delivery
19. Managing multiple processes and maintaining organization

Key Knowledge:

• Experience in social housing, building contracting, and local authority projects
• Valid SMSTS certificate
