Job summary

Opus Group Ltd in Warrington is seeking a experienced Site Manager to lead safety, compliance and delivery on key contracts. You will coordinate resources, manage subcontractors, and interface with local authorities to ensure projects run on time and within budget.

You will implement health and safety protocols, conduct inspections, prepare progress reports, and foresee risks with contingency plans. Strong leadership, communication skills and ability to plan and forecast costs are essential.

Qualifications

• Provide effective, positive, and trusted management to the business unit.
• Forecasting: defining the scope of the project, including estimating costs and timeframes.
• Planning: developing detailed project plans and schedules to ensure timely completion.

Responsibilities

• Health and Safety: Help implement and monitor health and safety protocols, reporting any incidents as per company procedures.
• Compliance: Conduct daily/weekly inspection audits, for vehicles and plant.
• Ensure mandatory team and site audits are completed in-line with company targets.
• Be a good decision maker allowing work to continue / progress without hold ups.
• Procurement: Monitor and managing site materials, equipment, and plant resources to ensure they are available as required.
• Contractual: Ensure the early warning process is followed if works differ from the agreed work instruction.
• Information capturing: Completing project documentation for record-keeping and future reference
• Compliance Ensuring all work is completed according to safety standards and regulations.
• Preparation: Preparing and presenting project progress reports to management and stakeholders
• Identification: Identifying potential risks and issues in the project, and devising contingency plans
• Plant & Fleet control – weekly checks undertaken on teams being managed
• Daily vehicle checks on own & teams’ fleet
