Job summary

Poolhall Recruitment invites applications for a Site Manager on a Cheltenham-based project. You will oversee daily site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and manage safety compliance to ensure delivery to programme milestones.

The role requires a strong health & safety focus, knowledge of UK construction methods, and leadership across multi-disciplinary teams. A proactive, communicative manager with a track record in heavy construction is preferred.

Qualifications

• SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid are essential.
• Strong health & safety focus required.
• Construction or engineering discipline background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily construction activities and site operations; produce daily work plans and coordinate attendance.
• Order plant, materials and equipment; arrange transport deliveries and site logistics.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
• Supervise subcontractors and coordinate site activities; monitor progress and report milestones.
• Identify non-conformances and project risks; manage ITPs; conduct inspections to maintain quality.
• Conduct RAMS, site inductions and toolbox talks; perform regular site inspections and audits; improve on-site safety behaviours.
