Job Title: Site Manager - Northeast

Location: Northeast (Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough)

Salary: Competitive according to experience

About Us: Excalon is a privately-owned company established in 2002. With recent new business wins with multiple major clients, adding to our existing portfolio of framework agreements and ongoing Major Projects, this is an exciting time to join our business.

About the role: We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to work on major infrastructure projects within the Northeast region. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will manage operational teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Liase with the client, sub-contractors, and other trades.
  2. Coordinate all aspects of the works to complete the project in line with client requirements, within budget, and on time.
  3. Issue Work Instructions and Risk Assessments related to the works.
  4. Plan, coordinate, and manage resources required to complete works.
  5. Regularly monitor the delivery programme and report progress to the Project Manager.
  6. Ensure suitable supervision of all sub-contractors.
  7. Manage and coordinate the requirement for any client-specific safety documentation (e.g., Permit to Dig, Break / No break Zones, CDM documentation).
  8. Ensure installation complies with relevant Construction Drawings and Cross sections.
  9. Complete site audits and reports on time.
  10. Maintain weekly track sheets and diaries, submitting them punctually.
  11. Deliver Toolbox Talks.
  12. Ensure the safety of oneself and others whilst working.
  13. Work effectively as part of a wider team.

About you:

  • Existing experience as a site manager.
  • CPCS and CSCS Cards.
  • SMSTS, NRSWA Street Works Supervisor.
  • Confined Spaces, Deep Excavation / Temporary Works Supervisor.
  • Emergency First Aid certification.

Based on site in the Northeast, travel to other sites may be required to meet business needs.
