Job summary

Lanesra Technical Recruitment Ltd is sourcing a Site Manager for a major water project near the Kent/Sussex border. You will lead the on-site team, supervise activities, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The role reports to the Programme Manager and involves coordinating resources to keep the work on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will hold recognised civil engineering qualifications, site management credentials, and a background in the water/wastewater sector,

Qualifications

• Recognised civil engineering background required.
• Site management qualifications essential.
• Health, Safety and Environmental management knowledge (IOSH or CMO) preferred.
• CSCS Site Manager at minimum.
• First Aid at Work qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the site team to coordinate safe operations.
• Ensure works align with HSQE, programme and budget requirements.
• Develop and review realistic scheme programmes.
• Prepare, review and brief method statements and risk assessments.
• Provide as-constructed records to the CDMC after completion.
• Attend site management training and temporary works courses as required.

Position: Site Manager - Water

Location: Kent / Sussex Boarder

Salary Guide: 65,000 - 70,000 Plus Car/Allowance & Package

Or

500 - 550 Per Day (Inside IR35)

Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry, who are delivering a number of water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects for Sothern Water and they are recruiting for a Site Manager for one of their major projects near the Kent / Sussex Boarder.

You will report directly to the Programme Manager/Senior Project Manager and your role will cover leading and directing the site team to coordinate the safe management of all operational activities on all projects ensuring HSQE, programme and budget requirements are met.

The responsibilities will include:

• Ensure all works are undertaken with due regard to the needs of the local population within the immediate vicinity of the works and the travelling public as a whole


• Manage, supervise and mentor the site team as appropriate


• Adopt, maintain and promote cost conscious management through efficient use of all resources


• Ensure realistic scheme programmes are prepared, reviewed and updated


• Ensure method statements and risk assessments are prepared, reviewed, briefed and updated


• Ensure all "as constructed" records are provided to the CDMC for inclusion within the Health and Safety File in a timely manner following scheme completion


• Attend all training associated with Site management duties including appointed person, temporary works etc as required
