The Vacancy

Wates Group is seeking a Site Manager to join our Wales region in Cardiff, focusing on delivering new homes and creating lasting community legacies.

About the Role

Our Site Managers are key to our success, ensuring quality, safety, health, and environmental standards. They work closely with Project Managers to complete projects to the highest standards.


As a Site Manager, you will:

  1. Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries, and weekly progress reports.
  2. Review design drawings for buildability and coordination.
  3. Manage subcontractors' design information flow, assist in producing and monitoring the MIRS, and oversee subcontractor programmes and performance.
  4. Monitor project progress against the contract programme and discuss recovery plans with the Project Manager.
