Job summary

Sphere Solutions is seeking an experienced Site Manager to deliver safe, efficient day-to-day construction activities on a highly regulated project. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage resources, and ensure works meet programme and regulatory standards.

The role requires strong leadership, drawing interpretation, and a proactive approach to planning and risk management. Experience with Tier 1 contractors and regulated sectors is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on complex construction or civil engineering projects.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and construction programmes.
• Proactive planning and risk management mindset.
• Experience with health, safety, quality and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Managing daily site operations and coordinating subcontractors and site personnel.
• Overseeing drainage installation and civil engineering works.
• Managing reinforced concrete raft foundations and concrete slab construction.
• Supervising construction of a steel-framed building including cladding installation.
• Coordinating electrical installation works with the wider programme.
• Ensuring works align with drawings, specifications and approved methodologies.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Reviewing RAMS, permits, and site documentation for project requirements.
• Monitoring progress against the construction programme and providing regular updates.
• Liaising with the Project Manager, client representatives, consultants and supply chain.
