A construction company in Bristol is seeking a Site Manager responsible for delivering civils infrastructure work safely, on-time, and within budget. The role involves leading daily site operations, managing multiple work fronts, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Candidates should have extensive experience in utilities work, particularly mains renewal, as well as strong leadership and civil engineering skills. This position offers a competitive day rate with flexible working conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in mains renewal for Bristol Water or similar utilities work.
• Proven track record working with trunk mains over 300mm.
• Strong treatment works and sewer experience, including rehabilitation of mains.
• Good general site and civil engineering experience.
• Competent computer skills for reporting and documentation.
• CSCS card and SMSTS certification.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring efficient coordination of subcontractors, plant, labour and materials.
• Carry out task statements, site inspections and enforce RAMS and safe systems of work.
• Ensure works are completed safely, to quality standards and aligned with programme targets.
• Manage and support 3-5 person site teams through clear leadership and communication.
• Maintain compliance with all site health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Report to the Construction Manager on progress, issues and resourcing needs.
